Today I counted a bag of coins that I had stashed in my drawer. There were no quarters...only dimes, nickels & pennies. The total came to $40.00 !!!! I was pleasantly surprised.
From here on out, I will be scrounging up all the loose change I can find to let it "add" up until the next time to count.

Jackie!
I LOVE this - - - it isn't corny at all.
I think you need to put the "FOLLOW" gadget on your sidebar. I THINK you find an option on your dashboard about putting it on your blog. Hmmmmm - - - can't remember right off the top of my head HOW I got mine on the sidebar.
I LOVE change - - - but we always use it up LONG before it gets to the $40 mark.
Hi! I came over from Keetha's blog and I have followed you! I have change piled up and it is fun to count and be surprised at the amount!
Keetha said I should come over and follow, so I did.
We put all of our change into a big jusg and periodically count it. We've been able to buy quite a few things with our change. Once we bought a really nice bicycle with it.
I came too via Keetha....you know the funny girl!!! I did the same thing today too, but did not have but about 10.00.....so I just stuffed it back in the drawer.
My parents saved loose change for nearly a year *they always use bills and never pull out a quarter or penny when their total is $4.26. So they just throw the change in a cup and at the end of the month/week whatever, they put it in a special savings account....and one year, they went to Hawaii on that money.
Haaaa...you should see my PENNY JAR. We save up until it's overflowing and then it's off to buy 2 Latte's. YOU, however, can buy a couple more tickets to the PBR!
Nice to 'meet' you. Keetha thinks highly of you, so I shall be following you, too.
Hugs,

I do this all the time. My family thinks I am crazy as I pick up every penny I see. As you found out, it does add up and you do not miss it.
